Maxthane is designed to deliver accurate and reliable dosing of flavours, colours and additives with reliability and compliance to FDA and EU food grade standards.

Compatible with all types of food oils and most clean-in-place (CIP) chemicals, Maxthane is manufactured from fully recyclable thermoplastic polyurethane, which reduces its environmental impacts and supports sustainability initiatives of food plants.

WMFTG product manager Chris Palmer says the food and beverage sector’s pumping demands include regulatory compliance, chemical compatibility, high performance, and easy maintenance.

“The advanced materials technology invested in Maxthane means food plants can add sustainability to the list of benefits they receive. In addition, confirmation of key certifications on Qdos means we are able to bring the process performance benefits of Qdos to a much wider audience.”

The tubing has high peristaltic performance due to its thinner wall and is designed for use with the Watson-Marlow 530 Series cased peristaltic pumps fitted with a 520 RET pumphead, delivering high-accuracy and simple maintenance.

Easy changeover is provided through quick-change LoadSure which is available in three sizes, allowing for the operator to easily replace the element in the pumphead during maintenance routines.

Qdos pumps – which are deployed in metering applications in a range of industrial applications all over the world – now carry the certification required for use in food and beverage processing applications.
